* Implement activities that will support the development of partnerships with the account(s) (and key decision-makers) to develop and extend Agilent's differentiating position in the Biopharmaceutical segment, while driving towards sustainable competitive advantage.
* Manage (personally, or in concert with a designated senior manager) major contract negotiations and renewals, in accordance with country and regional marketing policies, as well Agilent standards of business conduct.
* Establish processes and clear communications to identify and report segment status and potential business opportunities, competitor activity, and product development in the account to value and expand the BAM product/service range offered to key accounts.
* Secure as appropriate and coordinate the involvement / engagement of staff from other functions within the assigned segment towards achievement of business objectives
* Create, maintain and develop relationships with senior influencers in the assigned segment and broader industry
* Ensure appropriate business and professional training is provided to commercial staff engaged with the assigned segment;
* Ensure all activities comply with the company's policies and values and with local law.
* Development and maintain broad BAM product knowledge to awareness and qualify sales opportunities
* Work with field/segment/SU marketing teams to guide and leverage key marketing programs
* Key driver of the Biopharmaceutical Program across BAM portfolio
* In liaison with Segment Marketing drive formal business communications related to the assigned segment and liaison to the public relations department.
* Monitoring and continuously updating the dynamic set of marketing & sales tools and make sure they are effectively utilized
* As a key stakeholder in the Strategic & Key Account Program participate in establishing processes and clear communications to identify and report account status and potential business opportunities;
* Secure as appropriate and coordinate the involvement / engagement of staff from other functions towards achievement of business objectives
* Regularly review all selling activity (including lead generation / prospecting) towards achievement of business goals taking appropriate actions to realign activities as necessary.
* Work with SU marketing teams to guide and leverage key marketing programs
Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 8 to 10 years relevant Biopharmaceutical industry experience.
* Minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant sales & management experience in the assigned segment and experience working with a sales force;
* Minimum of 5 to 8 years project management experience preferably in life science industry.
* Training & experience in broader pharmaceutical industry
* Track record of successfully dealing with high level positions across different functions and businesses throughout an organization
* Ability to connect with and represent Agilent to senior executive customers
* Strong executive selling & networking skills
* Broad technical and applications knowledge in biopharmaceutical industry
* Strong awareness of Agilent product portfolio that serves this market.
* Knowledge of the life science market drivers and market mix in order to develop and implement successful business development strategy
* Demonstrated ability in building consensus with cross-functional groups and able to successfully work in a highly matrix environment organization.
