- The OEM Project Manager is the entrepreneur of the project and is the main contact to the customer and the BU management for the complete customer project (Q.PM 100 – Q.PM 500). He is the internal and external representative of the project.

What are my responsibilities?
- Responsible for achieving profitable project goals in terms of time, cost, function and quality, as agreed in the Project Manager Agreement with the Head of Sales & Project Management.
- Initiates the reviews of the customer requirements and contract terms and conditions (technically, commercially and legally)
- Manages the interface to the customer for all aspects of the project.
- Sets up the framework to ensure regular alignment with the customer to achieve project targets
- Responsible for the Project Agreement and the Project Plan as agreed with Head of Sales & Project Management
- Ensures that knowledge is available in the organization (former or parallel Projects) and is considered during the project planning and eecution (Lesson learned, Carry over solutions).
- Ensures the process adherence (internal and eternal) with the valid standards, guidelines and procedures within Siemens AG, Siemens Industry Sector and eCar and inform the team members.
- Ensures that Project specific requirements in regard of Project Management are also valid for the suppliers (e.g. timeline, milestone, risk management, documentation, etc.) and therefore available in a timely manner for SQM and Procurement Engineer.
- Ensures that the customer requirements are transferred into System & Subsystem Requirement Specifications.
- Plans the project, defines the WBS, estimates the time line, plans resources for the core team and documents the results in the Project Plan and the Project Agreement based on the inputs of the project team.
- Monitors the change management process regarding customer change requests influencing performance specifications and costs, including claim and change order.
- Establishes appropriate NonConformance Management processes to track any NonConformances, analyzes root causes, defines and implements counter measurements and monitors effectiveness during the project execution.
- Manages the project team (core team / etended team) with the defined targets, project budget, time lines and quality.
- Establishes an appropriate project reporting structure and information flow within the project core team.
- Manages the project with all project related topics for industrialization (e.g. logistics, purchasing, industrial engineering, quality).
- Ensures early involvement of procurement in the product design.
- Initiates make or buy decision for the outsourcing of subsystem development and System Components on the System level along the purchasing and compliance guidelines.
- Initiates continuous improvements of System function and project profitability.
- Supports and controls team members (technical, organizational, methodological).
- Performs Milestone Reviews.
- Executes the project risk manager role.
- Monitors and controls continuously the project execution and progress.
- Ensures regular status reports and if necessary escalates to the management.
- Approves and documents any modification in time, budget and specification within the scope of the project.
- Controls the released project budget and project resources within the approved Project Plan and Project Agreement.
- Plans and conducts product verification/ validation (PV) together with the supply chain expert and project quality.

What do I need to qualify for this job?
- More than 8 years relevant experience in automotive industry.
- At least 3 years experience as Project Manager
- Bachelor degree or above, engineering background would be an advantage
- Customer oriented and strong communication/coordination skills
- PM certification preferred
