- From our Energy Sector, Transmission division, we are looking for a CFO for one operation company based in Wuhan.
What are my responsibilities?
- Selection, management, assessment and development of employees in the area of responsibility to ensure long-term target achievement with motivated staff - including recruiting.
- Coaching and active support for employees (day to day).
- Economic responsibility - supporting and deputising for technical partners (such as CEO) in the effective management of the entity
- Risk and internal control management (inc. ERM, internal regulations)
- Business Reviews in cooperation with technical partner
- Controlling & Reporting
- Ongoing comparison of objectives and their achievement, consistent use of steering actions to achieve the targets in terms of new orders, sales, profits and cash.
- Ongoing optimization of processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity, and to meet safety requirements.
- Regular reporting of major business figures inc KPI's to management of Division, Business Unit / Segment or local entity level.
- Detailed deviation analysis incl. preparation of presentations and decision memos for management at Division, Business Unit / Segment or local entity level.
- Preparation and coordination of planning (budget and forecast) activities for major business figures (EVA, Profit, Investments, NCE, Cashflow) at entity level.
- Preparation and editing of monthly and quarterly reports.
- Planning, controlling, accounting and reporting of costs
- Planning, controlling, reporting and analyzing of special projects (e.g. M&A, R&D, capex investment, software projects, asset management, restructuring, hedging, etc.)
- Coordinating and organizing all financial and commercial activities within the scope of the applicable business processes for sales and bidding.
- Complete and timely elaboration of all necessary financial/commercial documents for the sales and bidding process, e.g. contract analysis, evaluation of risks, project selection, bid/no-bid decision, LoA.
- Review and approval of bids (LoA) within responsibility Business Unit / Segment or local entity.
- Ongoing optimization of organization, procedures and processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity and to increase customer satisfaction.
- Guides technical partners in commercial and financial matters.
- Technical Accounting Tasks
- Responsible for preparation and analysis of complex accounting issues.
- Preparation and interpretation of monthly financial statements of reporting units.
- Preparation of local statutory reporting including providing relevant information to GSS / Regional Corporate Finance functions.
- Transfer Pricing Coordinator: link between CF Taxes/World Tax Service (WTS) and local entity.
- Taxes: support for the preparation and coordination of tax reporting with CF Taxes / World Tax Service (WTS)
