Purpose:

1. This position is primarily responsible for providing technical leadership of infotainment software platform design, including the ideation, concept development, prototyping, design, technical creativity and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have the technical working knowledge of various infotainment ecosystems.
2. The manager in this position ensures the strategic vision for the future of infotainment is built into a set of products that realize the vision, and that this vision is communicated and executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget. The manager in this position also must maintain transparent communication with local leadership in Infotainment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver an architecture that supports consumer needs.
2. Build world-class software team to deliver the above.
3. Guide and approve selection of software architecture choices & strategies, supplier partner selection, and ensure smooth, on-time development of products that meet/exceed customer expectations. Lead by example in conducting regular reviews of product capability, quality, and on-time delivery, both internally and with supplier partners.
4. Translates business objectives and market requirements to actionable deliverables for work group
5. Create specifications and product requirements that exceed customer expectations, and ensure the quality of the product is maintained after vehicle sale for the total lifecycle of vehicle ownership.
6. Foster relationships both within and outside of Infotainment development areas to ensure a holistic approach to delivering products is achieved.

Qualification and Skills
1. Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
2. Ability to code and develop on various software platforms and languages, including ARM Cortex A8/A9/A15 platform
3. Experience with QNX/Linux/GENIVI/Android OS/Framework, device drivers, Graphics, Network, Middleware and Applications
4. Knowledge of Vehicle Networks (CAN/LIN/MOST)
5. Experience in leading projects and people
6. Skills in Project Management and hands-on experience of using different software lifecycle methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.
7. Result oriented and driven to deliver quality product on time.
8. Highly developed oral and written communication skills, and able to work with global teams
9. High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output
10. Ability to identify and remove roadblocks
11.Creates and maintains an environment that enables all participants to contribute to full potential
