职位描述
Role Description
1.Responsible to manage and make critical decisions on all aspects of supplier relationship including contracts, commercial/pricing, supply assurance and conflict resolution.
2.Develop and execute sub-category strategies through alignment with Harman International global category lead, business units, engineering, quality, manufacturing activities. Requires knowledge of the business units technology and product roadmaps and specific expertise in procurement and manufacturing cost structure.
3.The role requires a sophisticated level of relationship management interfacing with global suppliers, requiring balancing of interests to maintain mutually beneficial relationships.
4.Coordination of engagement between procurement, supply chain functions and senior stake holders within the BU. This person will be an escalation/communication point for Harman International and the supply partner.
Roles & Responsibilities
1.Align sub-category strategy with overall category strategy, supply chain and business requirements
2.Establish consistent commercial terms/conditions and present a single unified Harman International interface to the supply base
3.Execute effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost reduction goals
4.Work effectively with functional departments to drive supplier improvement programs including upgrading supplier processes, quality systems and technology roadmap alignment with Harman requirements
5.Build appropriate senior level supplier relationships
6.Drive supplier rationalization strategy to maximize category leverage
7.Manage the bid and quote process
8.Work with supply base to establish robust quality operating systems to support “zero defect” culture
9.Serve as a point of contact for BU sourcing issues and opportunities related to category management
10.Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
Skills/Knowledge
1.Proven ability to lead and achieve cost, quality, and time to market commitments
2.Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
3.Success in collaborating with key work partners and able to maintain relationships at the working level
4.Strong presentation and writing skills
5.Experience developing and implementing electronic manufacturing cost models
6.Ability to gather relevant information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceive the relationship among problems or issues; seek input from others
7.Effective team player committed to organizational goals; fostering collaboration among team members
8.Establish challenging performance standards; create enthusiasm, a feeling of investment, and a desire to excel
9.Ability to speak clearly and express self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations
10.Demonstrate resourcefulness to effectively leverage and focus resources across organizational/geographic boundaries
11.In depth knowledge of EMS and ODM outsourcing processes such as make vs buy
12.Knowledge of mechanical processes such as plastics (Injection molding) and metal manufacturing (die-casting, stampings) a plus
