More specifically, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for the following:

· Create regional PR plans with clear objectives, tactics and measurements including local news announcements, newsletters, bylined articles, case studies, customer media days and pitches

· Drive the company’s regional social media efforts in coordination with Corporate

· Manage and set quarterly objectives by country in coordination with the Mentor Graphics Regional Sales Management to ensure we maintain, either in person or through agencies, consistent and approved messaging, and drive high-impact programs suitable for each local market

· Drive consistent dialogue with media and analysts, including pitching and interview support

· Regularly measure and report results

· Generate editorial around field marketing events and activities, key market trends and technologies

· Manage media interviews for senior executives and/or spokespeople

· Use limited advertising to ensure messaging as defined through regional PR Plan

· Manage regional budget for PR and Advertising

Requirements:

· 4-7 years of experience in the PR or marketing communications preferably related to Electronic Design Automation (EDA), embedded software, information technology, enterprise software or consumer electronics (Agency & in-house experience is an advantage)

· Fluent English speaker and writer, ideally good Classical & Modern Chinese, Korean an advantage

· Keen business acumen; ability to translate business goals to communication campaigns and tactics. Evaluation/ROI acumen.

· Experience in launching products and initiatives, creatively

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders

· Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables

· Understanding of how media works across Pac Rim ·

Appreciation of how social media (especially LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and You Tube) works and fits into PR activities

· Familiarity and ease interfacing culturally and professionally at all levels of a multinational corporation

· Impeccable skills across PR and the rest of the marketing communications mix

· Excellent writing, content generation proofing & editing skills. Ability to turn complex ideas and technology into pithy written material

· Good presentation skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· The ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously and to respond to very tight deadlines.

· Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm, enthusiasm and pleasant attitude

· Resilience/persistence – ability to deal with the day-to-day reality of working with a complex, busy organization while up against tight deadlines – i.e. positive attitude / thick skin

· Ability to think strategically while simultaneously executing tactically and personally delivering campaigns

· Excellent organizational skills
