Mission
The main mission of the Supplier Quality Engineer is to guarantee that all the risks of non-quality are well monitored and controlled.
For this mission, he has to :
- Put under control the process of both product and process design: monitor the good progress of the design process with respect to a given reference, alert in cases of drift, suggest necessary actions in order to return in the authorized operation range
- Put under control the supplier’s achievements


Major Responsibilities
The activity of the Supplier Quality Engineer are detailed as below :
- Provides Technical and Quality assessments for supplier choice. Manage the Preliminary Risk assessment after supplier nomination and provide opinion on robustness of starting the development phase.
- Manage/animate Technical and Quality topics exchanges with suppliers according to PSA requirements. Give validation all the output data from supplier.
- Secures the conformity of the parts produced by supplier and control all risks related on non-quality (ensure the quality result of the given part).
- Ensure the animation of Progressive Product Process Qualification (Q3P) with the suppliers and other relevant teams (JV, Project team, Purchaser, ...)
- Put under control of both product and process design: monitor the good progress and ensure the robustness of the component development with respect to a given reference, alert in cases of drift.
- Guarantee that all potential Technical/Quality risks are well under control. Give approval of the product/process qualification of the component.
- Improves the design guide using his experience and capitalize the lessons learnt
