Software Engineer - Media Tester

Job Description:
- Create & Review of Test Specifications for each individual project. Creation and maintenance of test cases according to customer specification.
- Develop automatic test tool;
- Plan and build the test environment in the lab and in the test car.
- Develop & Review test cases according to the Product Specification.
- Qualify the target product by executing all test cases and input of test results into Harman Test Management System. Planning and execution of test runs.
- Create & verify Problems ( Tickets) within the Harman Electronic Verification & Information System (Elvis). Creation of bug reports, bug reports and preliminary analysis of the traces. Regression and reproduce errors.
- Responsible for Testing and Debugging of SW release. Ensure successful Software Integration Qualification and meet product release deadline.
- Ensure the software is downloaded and configured correctly in the respective target. Follow closely each test case scripts, make necessary trace during the test and prepare detailed debugging report in English with accurate supporting trace files and appropriate failure analysis.
- Be creative, logical and capable in formulating and implementing strategies for different test situations.
- Have high technical competence and be able to provide in-depth technical assistance during the lab and road tests.
- Familiar with fundamental Quality standards and rules.
- Related software development skills in the area Multimedia.
- Automate application and regression testing.
- Close communication with the development areas and testing departments (application and across multiple sites).
- Commissioning and modification of software and hardware components.

Requirements:
- BSEE (Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering ) minimum requirement, Advanced Engineering degree preferred.
- At least 4 years in embedded system.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Understanding of techniques for testing software.
- Passion for software bug finding, quality and for advancing testing as an engineering discipline.
- Familiar with test script language to develop automatic test tools is a MUST, such as VBScript, Perl, Python.
- Basic knowhow in electronic designs and multimedia is recommended.
- Basic knowledge in software development and debugging using micro-processors and DSP is recommended.
- Familiar with C# is recommended.
- High motivation and an excellent communication are required.
- Ability to work in a team and procedural working method is a precondition.
- Strong oral and written English.
