DESCRIPTION:
- The Plant Leader is accountable for leading the continuous growth and development within the plant under China Business.
- The Plant Leader role is expected to lead from an outside-in perspective, understand what is necessary for the customer to be successful and manage and oversee the plant operations providing operational excellence to achieve and maintain highest standards of safety, quality, costs, productivity, efficiency and employee engagement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in safe working practices, promoting safety awareness and performance for self and others in all areas of responsibility to achieve full compliance with site and company standards and guidelines.
- Lead and support safety initiatives and processes in the team to drive towards zero recordable injuries.
- Live the Safety Stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.
- Ensure all leadership in operations draft a personal safety action plan and deliver on all commitments.
- Knowing Our Customers:
- The role will develop a culture that embraces the realistic goal of zero defects for our Customers both internally and externally.
- The Plant Leader’s role will raise the level of our quality systems to provide a customer experience that fosters strong relations.
- And the role is responsible for ensuring open communication between the facility and its customers, ensure customer quality concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
- Developing and executing plant operations critical outcomes:
- The Plant Leader role will take the responsibility for the development and execution of the Plant’s performance target which will consist of the following:
- Safety for an Injury Free Work Environment.
- Operational Excellence through Productivity/Waste Elimination.
- Sustainability & Environmental Compliance / Stewardship.
- Talent development and acquisition.
- Customer Service & Satisfaction.
-- Directing Plant Operations:
- Direct operations and ensure exceptional operational performance of the plant.
- Provide effective leadership and direction to plant personnel.
- Provide an injury free environment.
- Create a work environment in which employees become compelled to commit to their organization and its bottom line feeling of pride and job ownership.
- Ensure effective deployment of employee relations practices.
- Control/Reduce Operating Cost. Identify and seize opportunities to enhance efficiencies, streamline processes, and leverage resources in order to reduce cost.
- Increase Revenue Production. Build and drive sustained revenue growth.
- Drive the business toward enhancing product and service quality.
- Ensure effective environmental controls are in place.
- Identify and implement year over year improvements in sustainability.
-- Leading and Developing Talent:
- Create and sustain a culture where talent is developed through effective performance management and talent evaluation.
- Effective staffing of the organization; competent people and the appropriate mix of internal and external talent satisfying both near-term and long-term succession needs.
- With support of HR, invest in the growth and development of identified high potential talent.
-- Ensure plant operations security well controlled including tangible and intangible assets:
- The Plant Leader role will demonstrate commitment for building a work environment that employees are engaged on driving high quality, waste free, all company assets security.
- Mentor leadership teams in implementing a focused integrity culture that drives company assets well controlled.
-- Management procedure should be effective and practical.
-- Plant property and other tangible assets are well managed and monitored.
-- Intelligence protection to plants operations should follow OC IP rules and solutions.
