The Social Computing Platform team is chartered with building and delivering social and community related service platform for worldwide market. The Social Computing Platform team is within Search Technology Center Asia (STCA) organization and works on behalf of Microsoft Online Media and Publishing global organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a dedicated and engaging leader, you will manage one of our test teams. Your role will include: coaching, leading and growing a solid team of SDETs; participating in the product design and planning; collaborating with Program Management and developers in an agile environment; ensuring all aspects of delivering a quality product are achieved in your feature crew via solid test plan and test cases; developing a solid test frameworks and tools through leadership or hands-on; ensuring and implementing quality test plans and automation; providing ongoing quality metrics for features; engaging with customers through various channels; contributing to the team’s engineering processes; championing innovation and continuous improvement; coordinating testing work across teams.
Required Qualifications:
You should possess a strong technical background and a good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving, design, programming, and leadership skills. You should be self-motivated and self-directed. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important.
Additional qualifications for this position include:
- 4+ years of experience in shipping high quality software and developing solid and maintainable test cases
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated cross group experience
- Experience managing a development team highly preferable
- Proven ability to ship software on time and at quality expected
- Solid knowledge of testing methods, tools and automation frameworks
- Good C/C++/C# code skills
- Ability to quickly understand new technology and applications
- Experiences in social related online service is a plus
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
