Sandvik in Beijing is seeking for a Category Manager(Travel & Car).

The position is a hands-on role delivering value through analytical and commercial leadership in strategic sourcing and procurement. The position will lead and support peers, other functional areas and project teams both at home base and nationally within Sandvik. The position will provide timely and effective sourcing expertise and mentoring to stakeholders and taking the responsibility for the responsible category management. The position would directly report to Country Manager of Indirect Purchasing, below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:
· To provide expertise in purchasing processes，contract management and supply management for all Sandvik entities Greater China for Category Management. Responsible for internal communication within indirect purchasing team and website building.
· In conjunction with the key client (i.e. Business Area manager, PU-Managers and other stakeholders), provide high level expertise for a significant number of high risk, high value (“Strategic Critical”) sourcing activities.
· Lead and support peers, providing guidance on all matters within the responsible category. Act as process leader for continued sourcing process improvement.
· Develop procurement-specific sourcing strategies, processes and analysis techniques. Sourcing activities include:
o Rigorous internal and supply market analysis
o Development of expressions of interest and requests for information proposals, tenders and bid lists
o Analysis of vendor responses
o Execute highly objective supplier selection and negotiation processes ensuring that all key stakeholders are involved in:
- the determination of requirements;
- specifications;
- selection criteria;
- review of proposals;
- negotiations; and
- final recommendations.
o Ensure procurement decisions support needs of key users and stakeholders
o Develop terms for supply contracts.
o Driving suppliers for continuous improvement including quality issues
· Manage the effective delivery of projects by determining project timelines, objectives and directing activities of project teams, keeping all members and stakeholders informed of progress.
· Ensure the successful delivery of sourcing project outcomes through use of rigorous and systematic processes and timely project completion.
· Lead the development and on-going management of multiple and simultaneous supplier selection and negotiation processes ensuring key stakeholder involvement in the determination of requirements, specifications, selection criteria; review of proposals; negotiations;
· Conduct and implement contract management for assigned contracts;
· Complete discrete projects as required;
· Ensure new or changed supply arrangements are effectively communicated to all stakeholders affected by the changes.
· Effectively manage stakeholders and build strong team relationships and trust with customers
· Performance manage supplier agreements to ensure adherence to terms and added value
· Set up responsible category KPIs/annual business plan and implement accordingly
· Documents management such as visit reports, records and files are kept in a good order
· Support global projects from category management if needed
· Secure suppliers fulfilment of Sandvik Code of Conduct
· Internal communication including indirect purchasing website development etc..
Other duties/activities assigned by Country Manager Indirect Purchasing, Sandvik Greater China.

Your profile:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in related field
· A university degree qualified or progressing towards qualification in a related field (supply chain, finance, management etc.) or demonstrated strategic sourcing experience
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Proficient in written and spoken English
· Be able to communicate effectively with management and staff at all levels
· Basic knowledge of contracts and contract law
· Must be able to travel at short notice
