Responsibility
Few initial career opportunities provide the combination of accelerated learning and skill development, personal growth and challenge, and fast pace that are provided by the Senior Consultant position in our Strategy & Operations service area. Here you will be able to apply your capabilities and talent toward both helping clients in their efforts to solve their complex business issues and helping them through to implementation.
You will have the opportunity to take the knowledge you have developed in your graduate studies and prior experience and apply them when working with a variety of companies – our clients. We undertake only those projects which are meaningful to our clients and which allow us to add clear value through our services. While you may choose to use your experience by specializing immediately, during your first two to three years you will generally be expected to work on a variety of assignments that reflect the range of services we provide and industries we serve. You will work as a member of a project team, typically between 4 and 10 people, on assignments involving such diverse topics as corporate strategy, merger integration, supply chain strategy, and innovation and growth.
Your responsibilities could include establishing analytical frameworks and conducting complex business analyses, conducting external research and data gathering, driving strategic thinking and discussions, leading teams, developing effective relationships with the client, working with the client to help them achieve the benefits of our services, and adding to the service line’s knowledge base from your project experience.
We are an apprenticeship model and we take your professional development as seriously as you do. Our principals, directors, and associate directors actively consult, and you will work side by side with highly skilled and effective consultants from whom you will learn and hone your skills as a consulting professional. You will be encouraged to take as much responsibility as you can, and you will be pushed to deliver results to our clients that test you. As your skills and experience grow, you will in turn be expected to mentor people more junior to you as part of your professional development trajectory.
In addition to learning in the project team environment, you will receive periodic, intense formal training and professional counseling to complement your academic and project team-based learning. This begins with several weeks of rigorous training in the consulting process and consulting skills when you start with us and continues throughout your career in order to fulfill requirements for promotion and as you focus your career progression on specific industries or service areas. You will travel to and work mostly at the client site so that our services are delivered in the client environment. However, we take our community responsibilities seriously, and you will have multiple opportunities to be active in your community and local office via a variety volunteer activities that you can choose to participate in.

Qualification:
We are seeking exceptional individuals from a variety of schools. Qualified candidates will possess the following characteristics:
MBA degree from a top tier full-time program
3-5 years relevant work experience
3.5 undergraduate GPA; 700 or higher GMAT score
Solid history of superior personal achievement in school and work
Highly motivated to achieve desired goals and objectives
Strong analytical skills
Leadership and team-building abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility
Willingness to travel frequently (required)
Fluency in Mandarin and English (required)
