Position: Senior Industrial Designer
Report to: Industrial Design Director
Location: Shanghai

Position Description Overview:

You will work with a group of very talented and highly motivated designers and engineers in Company’s Shanghai office. This position requires the ability to work, plan and manage projects proactively while interacting with clients, vendors and other employees. Self-starting and self-management abilities are critical, as is the ability to understand the full picture of product development. Efficient use of time is critical to maintaining our clients’ aggressive schedules. This role may include creating content, working for top Chinese clients, leading a team of researchers, designers and engineers and actively managing client expectations. The successful candidate has a proven record of designing and developing new products from concept through production and successful market launch. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified designer interested in growing his/her overall technical skills and contributing to the long term growth of the company.

Requirements:
? At least 5-8 years work experience in design kitchen appliances or related fields for top tier brands in the Chinese market
? Exceptional sense in aesthetics, color/material/finish, with excellent control of beautiful proportions and details
? Always aware and updated of the latest design trends in the kitchen appliance field
? Broad knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods and costs control
? Very strong leadership skills to influence and convince clients
? Very strong team leading skills to control the right design direction and design quality
? Open minded, great team player, pro active, self motivated, strong working ethics
modeling/rendering, prototyping, communication and presentation skills.

? The candidate must be in Chinese Mandarin language. English is a plus.

Specific Skills
? Industrial Design, including hands-on creative design using rapid visualization techniques, sketching, graphic design applications and CAD tools (such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, Rhino 3D, Alias, Solid works and Pro-E) to communicate designs in an highly effective manner.
? Incorporate human factors’ engineering and product aesthetics into product’s functional requirements and mechanics.
? Inspire, coach and educate junior designers and designers with infectious passion and enthusiasm.
? Ensure constant high quality of the design output.
? Ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
? Strive for best-in class design solutions to meet or exceed the needs of our clients
? Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
