As part of the global ThyssenKrupp Compliance Team the Regional Compliance Officer will provide compliance related business advice to the local management and ensure the efficient implementation of the comprehensive Compliance Program of the ThyssenKrupp Group within his or her area of responsibility. To ensure independence, the position has a direct reporting line to ThyssenKrupp AG, Corporate Center Compliance.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Foster the compliance culture and awareness within the ThyssenKrupp companies in the region
Provide advice for ThyssenKrupp entities in the region as a reliable business partner to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies focused on anti-trust and anti-corruption
Support ThyssenKrupp entities in the region in implementing the Compliance Program, including processes, reporting and documentation
Identify compliance risks and conflicts of interests across all parts of business
Customize existing compliance tools and develop additional tools and measures fitting into the specific business requirement in the region
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Compliance Program
Add regional compliance know-how and foster understanding of regional compliance customs to the Compliance Team
Identify training needs and organize trainings for different target groups in the specific region
Support the German based Compliance Officers
Travelling: regular travelling required

The requirements for the ideal candidate are:
Master of business administration, law or similar
Native Chinese with fluent English,
At least ten years experience in an international and multicultural environment of a large group of companies, preferably as legal consultant or controller
Excellent understanding and business expertise of selected (main) industries and markets of the ThyssenKrupp Group
Compliance expertise with excellent knowledge of regulatory framework, regional customs and compliance related characteristics
Mature professional
Proven ability to work with all levels of management
Assertive and balanced personality with sound integrity who can excel in an international and multicultural environment of a large group of companies
Excellent communication skills succeeding in a business environment with complex internal decision making processes, presentations, trainings and negotiations
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and to analyze and process complex situations in a short time
Teamplayer
Highly committed to compliance and his or her job
Self-starter, able to work independently and to bridge cultures
