Objective of job

• Retail consulting team is a function that designs, implements and manages the consulting activities to support the Mercedes-Benz retail outlets setting up and making further improvement in China in the operational business areas of after-sales (service & parts), based on thorough understanding of the dealership as well as BMBS internal business needs. Objective of the Manager, Retail Consulting is to
• Manage Retail Consulting programs, including resource management, team management, coach qualification, and efficient communication/organization/documentation of consulting activities
• Lead the team to maintain and further develop retail consulting concept and tool kits
• Manage retail projects to optimize after-sales operation and enhance retail consulting portfolio

Qualification required

• Education
• University (business, economics, marketing, engineering)
• Experience
• 5-6 years working experience (preferably in automotive industry)
• 2-3 years managerial experience
• Special Knowledge
• Understanding of automotive retail business
• Knowledge in process mapping and consultancy
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Fluent in English and good command of MS Office applications

Task designation

• Manage Retail Consulting Programs
• General management of consulting programs
• Understanding business needs and objectives of the required consulting activity
• In-depth understanding of the project needs, and required consulting focuses to develop criteria for consultant selection and dealership selection
• Development of project planning including dealership selection for the consulting, consulting scheduling, coaching selection and training, briefing and summary meetings, etc.
• General communication internally as well as to the dealerships, and external agencies if needed
• Progress and quality control of the consulting activities through but not limited to onsite observation, coordinating consultant scheduling to ensure high quality of consulting performance
• Design and implement a communication/reporting of various information channels, frequency, format and recipients of relevant information
• Maintain and update project documentation, scheduling and reporting. Develop and perform regular project reviews and reporting for management update and briefing
• Update and monitor or project budget, and relevant F&C processes
• Insurances of coach qualification
• Enhance Retail Consulting Concept, Approach, and Tools
• Continuous development and enhancement of the consulting concept, approach and tools for the after-sales consulting.
• Conduct Retail Projects
• Conduct retail projects to further optimize the retail operation and improve customer satisfaction.
• Support Senior Manager of Retail Consulting Team
• Complete tasks assigned to by Senior Manager as and when required.

As a joint-venture wholesale company, Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd (MBCL), imports almost the entire MBC passenger car product line to mainland China, and manages the brand, sales, service and distribution for MBC products in China. MBCL also oversees the Hong Kong operation via Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. (a 100% Daimler AG subsidiary), which manages the imported MBC passenger cars and CV for Hong Kong and Macau.
