Objective of job
- Successfully research, plan and handle operations related to Telematics services to ensure a leading offering in the market.
- Explore and research Connected Car/Telematics services
- Connected Car offering strategy
- Monitor Connected Car service perception of customers
- Lead process of new service generation
- Plan service rollout for China
- Work out Connected Car communication strategy
Qualification required
- University degree in business, marketing, economics, finance or related disciplines.
- 4-5 years working experience in automotive companies
- Be passionate about cars & high interest in technology, esp. information technology
- Possess excellent commercial acumen and business understanding as well as a strong customer ethos.
- Be passionate, forward thinking and results-driven with a commitment to succeed.
- Possess excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and produce quality results.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the business as well as effective leadership skills.
- Good analytical skills and numerate; comfortable with statistics and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; must be familiar with PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Proficient (written/spoken) English and Mandarin.
- Initial leadership experience, managed 1-2 direct reports
Task designation
- Connected Car Offering Strategy
- Prepare big picture service offering strategy
- Propose business model
- Connected Car/Telematics market monitoring and customer research
- Monitor telematics market and analyze industry trends
- Share insights with all team members
- Monitor Connected Car customer service perception
- Install customer feedback monitoring system
- Report customer feedback to management
- Identify gaps and propose necessary adjustments of service offering
- Lead process of new service generation
- Conduct surveys and creative workshops and generate service ideas
- Lead new service process until handover to engineering team
- Plan service rollout for China
- Propose new services for future rollout to ensure continues increase of added
value for customers.
- Propose rollout timing
- Work out Connected Car communication strategy
- Act as main interface to marketing
- Ensure a effective communication of Connected Car services over time

MBCL also oversees the Hong Kong operation via Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. (a 100% Daimler AG subsidiary), which manages the imported MBC passenger cars and CV for Hong Kong and Macau.
