Objective of job

• As China is the fastest growing market for telematics we are currently looking for graduated talents and experienced specialists who share the same passion for telematics, navigation and wireless communication like we do. Located in Beijing (Wangjing area) our engineering team is responsible for localizing Mercedes-Benz navigation and wireless communication. We are developing future navigation and wireless communication systems together with competitive local supplier and verifying our results in collaboration with our R&D in USA and Germany.

Qualification required

• Education
• Master science degree
• Experience
• Chinese (Mandarin): native speaker
• English: fluent written and spoken
• Working or academic experience in wireless communication
• Specific Knowledge
• Computer skills (C/C++, Java, HTML);
• Engineer with open-minded work attitude and ability to adapt to new challenging environment

Task designation

• Specification of China specific wireless communication requirements
• China specific wireless communication requirements shall be specified in co-ordination with development department in Germany (Sindelfingen)
• Developing of new wireless communication features
• Based on prototypes new wireless communication features shall be developed, tested and specified for the next telematics systems.
• Evaluation of wireless communication data
• Wireless communication data, the quality and quantity of this content shall be evaluated.
• Screening of alternative wireless communication supplier
• The environment of wireless communication supplier changing fast, an ongoing look at alternative wireless communication supplier possibilities is necessary
• Supporting wireless communication integration
• The wireless communication is part of a complex telematics system the integration should support according the central Daimler deployment process.
