职位描述

Objective of job

  • Monitoring and coordination of topics within the project group “Material Flow & Equipment Planning” of the Project „China Parts Distribution Strategy 2020“ in China where a new central warehouse is to be set up in the greater Shanghai region and five wholesale locations that are either relocated or to be set up new in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Chengdu.

Qualification required

  • Education
    • University/Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Logistics Management
  • Experience
    • Field experience in material flow planning, factory and/or logistics planning
    • Project management experience
  • Special Knowledge
    • Communication, presentation and moderation skills, assertiveness and team spirit as well as analytical strength
    • Skillful handling of MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Willingness to travel within China and abroad
    • Fluent in Chinese, English and German

Task designation

  • Project Management
    • Representation of the project group for time, budget and quality relevant issues based on the requirements of the business unit and the frame set in the business case
    • Updating of equipment & material flow planning progress on a regular basis
    • Tracking of timelines, critical paths and milestones
    • Presentation of planning status to management, escalation in time if unsolvable issues or conflicts occur
    • Evaluation and analysis of risks and development of solutions
    • Guaranteeing of a smooth realization of the warehouse equipment planning topics for the defined locations
    • Ensure availability of basic data, cost reports etc. in time for relevant project members
    • Transferring and adapting of planning standard approaches to China, where necessary creating of new processes (incl. documentation, lessons learnt and knowledge transfer methods)
  • Organization
    • Coordination of warehouse equipment & material flow planning team in China and Germany
    • Monitoring and coordination of warehouse equipment providers
    • Working close together with other project team members (e.g. overall project management, warehouse construction, warehouse operator) to achieve project objectives

Daimler Northeast Asia Parts Trading and Services Co., Ltd. (DPTS), which was established in April 2008, is headquartered in Beijing and running three operative warehouses in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The headquarter is taking care of the administrational processes, including inventory management, importation, domestic trading, export, customer relationship management, procurement, transportation management, warehouse management, contract management and cost planning, as backbone to the three warehouses which do the physical distribution.

As a 100% subsidiary of Daimler Northeast Asia, DPTS aims to integrate the spare parts logistics supply for all Daimler activities in PR China under one roof, including MB PC, MB CV, MB Van, Maybach and smart. The target of DPTS is to provide MB-Standard service level with cost efficiency by synergies mainly in warehouse, transportation and administration.
