The candidate will be a member of the Verification Group which has evolved from selling a HDL simulator to offering a complete RTL verification solution. VCS provides advanced, built-in technologies, including full-featured testbench, complete assertion support, a library of assertion checkers and comprehensive coverage and analysis, to enable smart verification of complex system-on-chip designs. The Verification IP (VIP) libraries offer a complete line of behavioral models, checkers and suite of compliance tests for advanced on-chip protocols. The Low Power Tools offer simulation and static checkers that are the best in class. The Hardware Assisted Verification and Emulation Systems shorten the time to silicon by delivering exceptional performance and debug features.

This position gives you the opportunity to be a part of a team supporting software tools used by every major hardware company in the world. A Corporate Application Engineer’s prime responsibility is to deploy various VG provided tools at customer sites. The responsibilities involve analysis of customers current verification methodology, presentation and deployment of verification methodologies, driving verification benchmarks, developing and delivering technical trainings, managing alpha and beta customer rollout, and providing technical support. As a CAE, you will be responsible to interact with and support key customers, help them analyze and resolve complex verification issues for their cutting edge ASIC designs, and learn to mold their technical requirements into a mutually rewarding growth opportunity. Leveraging your close interaction with customers, R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams you will be able to influence development of next generation verification tools by defining the future direction and scope of enhancements, flows, and methodologies.

A successful candidate will be expected to have expertise in ASIC design methodologies and technologies, demonstrated experience in the complete design cycle, and are driven to help customers achieve their verification goals.

Requirements:

MS or PhD majored in EE with more than 5 years of IC design/verification experiences. Good knowledge of high-level design methodologies and strong communication skills are required. Ability to work with customers and R&D teams is important. Real project experiences in ASIC/SoC verification are required. Proficient with HDL (Verilog/VHDL), HVL(e/Vera/SystemVerilog), C/C++, Unix, and having a strong understanding of ASIC design flows, VLSI, and/or CAD-engineering. Experience on VMM/OVM/UVM and knowledge of SNPS verification IPs are preferred. Knowledge of Low Power verification with UPF is also a plus.
