Account Manager
Reporting To: CEO
Job Purpose
The Account Manager contributes to the success and achievement of company sales and financial targets by assisting to aggressively market Culinary Capers offerings, solicit new catering clients and strengthen relationships with existing catering clients.
The Sales Account Manager will have the ability to manage the entire sales cycle of the business from lead generation to close and have a demonstrated history of quota/budget achievement.
This role is responsible for new account development, expanding existing accounts, contract preparation and execution, accounts payable collections, and maintaining close relationships with key contacts. The Account Manager has monthly, quarterly and annual quotas.
Responsibilities
1.Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets
2.Support sales efforts and general business transactions by developing courteous and productive relationships with customers and suppliers.
3.To seek out and pursue new business opportunities that provide revenue growth
4.Conduct "tastings" and presentations of catering menu items for existing and prospective customers.
5.Creatively seek new business opportunities by distributing samples of catering menu items, soliciting by phone and cold calling.
6.Ensure that clients are relaxed and well taken care on site during events
7.Develop proposals for potential customers and coordinate pending bookings.
8.Qualify potential clients and set up new customer accounts as approved by management.
9.Ensure customer service follow-up calls are made daily to validate satisfaction, resolve issues if necessary, and to service future needs.
10.Manage all contracts in line with company standards, ensuring that accounts receivable / payable are on time and on budget
11.Act as interface with Marketing and Operations teams for events, orders, or targeted efforts, and customer feedback.
12.After confirming the client's requirements, coordinate with all departments and staff to ensure all food and beverage products are prepared and displayed according to specifications.
13.Lead the sourcing of new suppliers as need be and ensure that existing suppliers understand clients needs and are able to deliver outstanding services
14.React to customer issues and feedback in a timely and professional manner; communicate with Operations Team as necessary.
15.Attend industry networking events.
16.Manage and attend all large/VIP events, this includes profit and non-profit events.
17.Identify and resolve any customer invoice discrepancy.
