- For our Corporate Technology in Beijing, Siemens is looking for a Standardization Officer in Beijing.

Introduction
Mission of Function:
- Work with Siemens global and regional Business Units to align horizontal issues for standardizations & technical regulations in the best interest of Siemens. Identify opportunities to influence standards/technical regulation setting processes or in China.
Dimensions of function:
- This function is individual contributor and report to the SLC CT CSG TRS manager.
Contacts:
- Internal: contacts to the standardization & regulation officers in regional Business Units and Siemens AG standardization partners. External: contacts to the standards/regulation development organizations in China.

What are my responsibilities?
Areas of responsibility:
- Support products business units involved in the Chinese market to address horizontal issues related to standards adoption in China.
- Support products business units to watch out, timely distribute and effectively influence China technical regulations and laws setting that may influence the future products and sales of Siemens.
- Identify China standards activities of interest at both international and national levels and understand their institutional dynamics.
- Identify opportunities to influence standards setting processes to the best of Siemens’ interests, mainly to support the business units.
- Report relevant information to appropriate business units and SAG.
- Minimize company’s exposure to risks associated to unknown commitments associated with necessary standards adoption linked with market introduction in China.
- Minimize company’s exposure to risks associated to technical regulations or certifications.

What do I need to qualify for this job?
Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree in engineering (Automation, Mechanical, electronically and etc.) or above.
- 3 years of experience in an engineering department of a manufacturer of electrotechnical products.
- Basic understanding of the relevance of standards and technical regulations for placing products on the Chinese market.
- Good knowledge of Chinese organizations for standardization and certification.
- Basic knowledge of International organizations for standardization
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing and speaking with experts on different levels in internal and external organizations.
- Fluent in English language.
- Experience in MNC is preferred.
