- For our Corporate Technology in Beijing, Siemens is looking for a Head of Technology & Innovation Management.

Introduction
Mission of Function
- Contribute to the global mission of CT TIM (Technology & Innovation Management), and in particular in the domains of external partner management, public funding coordination, portfolio strategy, visioning & scouting and communications

What are my responsibilities?
Tasks
Visioning & Scouting:
- Collect insights from local innovators (universities, companies, etc.) so as to
- Identify local trends and market developments and associated technology-driven business opportunities (with potential to become a TIP project) in the local market
- Identify local providers of new technologies with relevance for CT RTC
- Feed insights into global TIM visioning & scouting process
Support Research Groups of RTC:
- Support the local research groups in developing their relationships with local business / R&D units (business development for CT)
- External partner management:
- Define and manage a portfolio of local strategic partners for CT (e.g. CKI universities)
- Coordinate CT activities at the interface to these local strategic partners
- Provide transparency on local CT partner landscape (e.g. UNICO+)
- Provide strategic guidance and ensure CTs active participation in local industry associations, in alignment with CT TIM
- Provide transparency and strategic guidance regarding CT's applications for local public research grants
- If applicable: Support Siemens' applications for public research grants (as a service for the Sectors)

Portfolio strategy:
- Collect local input and ideas for global portfolio development (local perspective)
- Provide input to CT TIM

Strategic position:
- Understand the strategic position (technology position, portfolio planning, portfolio market fit, etc.) of Siemens business units in China, and contribute to an annual assessment as part of the yearly innovation
Communications
- Provide material for global communication activities
- Ensure and support local implementation of global communication activities
- Propose additional local communication activities, align these with CT TIM CC, and execute
(RTC-Research Technology Center)

What do I need to qualify for this job?
- At least 5 year of work experience Technical / scientific background
- Experienced in General Strategy and Portofolio Management, Employee Communications
- Experienced in developing high tech products / solutions / methods according to customer needs
