Responsibilities：

This position will focus on the execution of projects from design through commissioning and qualification as required, with a primary focus on commissioning. Following successful project completion, this position will transition accountability to operation of the HVAC systems that support the newly commissioned facilities. The senior HVAC engineer will be accountable for:

Project Delivery: including project approach and resource needs, options analysis, electrical systems and equipment design, engineering document development, and system ownership through the project delivery phases of plan, design, procure, construct, commission and qualification for facilities; and

Technical Analysis: including electrical system and technology plant fits, capacity and equipment utilization, value engineering, sustainable design (energy efficient), constructability and assessment of applicable new technologies to balance performance, cost and maintainability.

Commissioning Accountability: This position will be accountable for the successful commissioning of the HVAC systems.

-Develop the testing and commissioning (T&C) strategy. Review and approve T&C plan.

-Establish HVAC inspection check-list and protocol.

-Evaluate the lifecycle cost for HVAC equipment selection.

-Provide general HVAC engineering advice and support to project teams and internal customers as required.

-Lead contracted engineering and commissioning staff.

-Supervise, review and challenge design and optimize HVAC Systems in close cooperation with other engineering disciplines and end-user departments

-Support systems qualification according to cGMP (Chinese, FDA, EMEA) requirements

This position requires coordination of Roche and/or contract engineering resources. Facilitating meetings, directing engineering firms and consultants, field supervision, equipment inspection and start-up, construction trade coordination, and training of operational staff are often required. Success in these areas will depend upon the individual’s ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and foster positive interactions with team members, while diligently managing adherence to project scope, budget and schedule.

Develop equipment/systems preventative maintenance plans including the coordination of annual contract services, ordering of replacement components/parts, and schedule coordination.

The senior engineer is expected to be an effective communicator of ideas, project goals and results. With minimal supervision, is expected to make presentations and updates to senior management.

Operational responsibilities after project hand-over to include/ 项目完成后的业务责任，包括：

-Hands-on involvement with the troubleshooting, maintenance and operation of site HVAC systems.

-Individual will be responsible for HVAC equipment and facility system operations, preventative maintenance program, planning and coordinating the annual utility system and site shutdowns.

-Evaluation of HVAC equipment and system performance through assessment of equipment and system logs, monitoring reports, and maintenance program. Develop corrective measures to improve equipment operational efficiency.

-Provide technical assistance to site operating groups through investigations, equipment assessments, and design support.

-Develop equipment/systems preventative maintenance plans including the coordination of annual contract services, ordering of replacement components/parts, and schedule coordination.

-Management of building and utility control systems to ensure response to critical alarms in compliance with Maintenance and Quality Procedures. Evaluate trends and establish corrective actions to avoid repeat events.

管理楼宇及公用工程控制系统，以确保响应关键报警符合维护及质量程序。评估趋势，并制定纠正措施，以避免重复事故。

-Participate in the review of HVAC equipment and system design changes including specification and drawing reviews.

-Promote cGMP compliance within the workplace by following cGMP procedures. Incorporate cGMP and regulatory compliance into all work practices.

-Promote safety within the workplace by following site safety procedures. Ensure well defined safety plans are established and followed by employees and contractors.
