Industry Job Function Summary:
Conducts periodic site/division internal reviews. Makes recommendations for corrective actions. Generates reports that monitor and measure Company’s compliance performance. Assists in the design and delivery of education and training. Ensures legal compliance and provides import/export administration support and internal control, related to government rules and regulations, including appropriate licensing for shipments. Reviews contracts for required clauses and identifies omissions. Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas. Selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders. Assists in developing global compliance policies. Monitors internal controls and procedures.


Haemonetics Key Characteristics
? Provide assistance to internal customers in a variety of logistics issues.
? Assist in the day to day import and export operations in order to support trade compliance initiatives and objectives.
? Conduct periodic site/division internal reviews for lower volume and less complex supply chains. Recommend corrective actions when necessary.
? Send internal review questionnaire to assess both trade compliance and supply chain security compliance. Coordinates internal review schedule
? Research if business has changed (new products, new supply chain, new mix)
? Determine regulatory requirements to import/export determined products
? Review supply chains to understand trade activities
? Generate reports that monitor and measure company’s compliance performance
? Conduct NAFTA and other FTA eligibility analysis, issue proper certificates of origin
? Conduct Supply Chain Risk Assessment to support Supply Chain Security Programs such as C-TPAT
? Assist import/export analyst in resolving complex issues related to customs clearance
? Interact substantially with internal departments including: Manufacturing, Shipping, Procurement; Research and Development; Legal, Regulatory, Finance and Sales and Marketing along with service providers and with domestic and international suppliers
? Request information (MSDS, product information, production specifications) from internal clients
? Determine proper classification, and initiate binding ruling requests
? Maintain global tariff list and imports database (Global Trade Desktop), and publish Global Trade Desktop extracts and share information with customs brokers
? Work with Regulatory and determine FDA product code and other FDA requirements
? Maintain key metrics published, prepare charts and analysis
? Reconcile inter-company transactions based upon transfer price adjustments (A/P, POs), include Closing Import Entry Reconciliation
? Help train/coach import/export analyst
? Assist with country of origin and valuations related inquiries
? Support customs audits and/or formal Customs inquiries
? Develop and implement customs policies and processes
? Assist with other general trade compliance related activities and programs, such as Supply Chain Security (C-TPAT), TSA-Transportation Security Administration

Education and Experience Required:

? Bachelor’s degree
? 3-5 years equivalent experience, preferably in an international trade-related or firm specializing in import/export processes and/or Medical Device.
? Customs Broker’s License
? Knowledge of applicable customs and trade compliance laws, regulations, and policies.
? Must Work independently under general supervision and direction
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Project management.
