Job Title: Business Development Manager

Reports To: Direct report to General Manager – China

Dotted line to Global Account Director

Group/Division: FCS China / BSD

Position Summary:

To delivery high customer satisfaction through proactive service, effective internal and external communication, and to implement a systematic business development strategy.

To lead BD and marketing activities through active involvement in client meetings, pre-sale discussion, quote/contract review, solution formulation as well as business introduction.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To support General Manager in designing and implementing the strategies for customer service and business development.
  2. To actively identify opportunities to introduce other Company goods and/or services, thereby increasing the revenue opportunity within each customer’s business portfolio
  3. To ensure that effective communication with existing clients are well maintained through periodical client visits, service reports as well as other communication channels.
  4. To work with internal teams to ensure clients’ expectations are deliverable and well communicated.
  5. To lead local marketing activities by interacting with global marketing team.
  6. To lead local business development by participating in client visits, quote/contract/agreement discussion and solution formulation.
  7. To lead through the phase of business introduction and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth new business start-up.
  8. To follow up customer complaint and ensure proper handling and customer’s acceptance
  9. To properly maintain the database related to business, service and clients.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor degree, preferably majoring in life science, business administration or related.

Years of Experience: > 3 yrs of sales or marketing experience in relevant industry, working experience in pharmaceutical industry will be a plus. Ideally have the experience in bidding, project selling, client’ management.

Knowledge: Clinical service industry, supply chain management

Competency: Strong communication skills, presentation skills, influencing skills, leadership skills, ability to work independently and as a team member




Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  1. At least 3 yrs sales or marketing experience
  2. Strong communication and written skills in English and Chinese
  3. Presentation skills
  4. Ability to work independently
  5. Ability to work as a team member
