Job Description
Department: HR, Microsoft China
Location: Beijing
The PRC Compensation and Benefits consultant is responsible for developing, implementing and designing compensation and benefits programs that support Microsoft’s strategic goals in China. This position acts as a consultant to HR, senior and line managers, and a virtual team of in-country C&B professionals. This role is to report to Greater China (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) C&B manager and support long term competitive advantage to Microsoft in terms of candidate attraction and employee retention through Compensation and Benefit programs. This position is located in Beijing and travels are requested upon needs at about quartering frequency.
Responsibility/Activity

Compensation Programs:

- To be responsible for PRC Compensation Program development, implementation and improvement.
- Working with the corporate and GCR compensation teams to share knowledge and develop local plans to implement and link to global initiatives.
- Working with Corporate Analysis Team to ensure local competitive market data is analyzed annually
- To be as compensation consultant in Performance Review Process
- To provide C&B professional analysis and solution to address business issues efficiently

Strategic Development:
- Identifying areas of long-term strategic development with the compensation and benefits environment and building business cases and support their implementation.
- Researching issues and developing compensation and benefits solutions to key business challenges.
- Analysis and interpretation of market data leading to the development of new initiatives and budgets.

Communication:
Work closely with PRC HR and Senior business managers to build a detailed understanding of the compensation and benefits environment in line with business strategy.
Developing and delivering communication and feedback mechanisms to ensure employee and manager knowledge of Compensation and Benefits programs is at a high level.
Establish and maintain a close partnership with local Finance and WWIC (Worldwide Incentive Compensation) team in the areas of budgeting, sales planning process, and setting up and managing processes around exception requests for compensation.

- Be an internal representative of Microsoft China including partnering with corporate compensation and benefits.
- Be an external representative to the community and industry by attending compensation and benefits forums to gain knowledge of best practices and the competitive landscape in compensation and benefits.

Qualifications Recommended:
The ideal candidate will have a
- Four year degree in human resources or business, or the 8 to 10 years work experience in multination company
- 4 to 6 years of compensation and benefits experience in multinational company/ consulting firms are preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Must be familiar with advanced statistical methods
- Project Management Skills
- Multiple tasking and pressure management
- Excellent organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.
