The Real Time Technology group is part of Thomson Reuters IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) business unit which develops, deploys and supports a number of Thomson Reuters Real Time network infrastructures. This is a global network of numerous infrastructure components and technologies that allow for Market data to be collected, processed and distributed. The successful candidate will become part of a new RTT team located in Beijing. The role requires a high degree of collaboration with local and remote colleagues. As part of this team you will support the Real Time infrastructure; adding new components, scaling the network, troubleshooting networking connectivity issues and adding inter datacenter connectivity. You will design, develop and test connectivity to data sources such as Exchanges and news feeds and produce clear and concise documentation for operations to implement these components in our live datacenters.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

? Install, configure and maintain test and development networks for Global development teams
? Design, configure and support network implementation of market data feeds into Thomson Reuters
? Production and/or review of detailed network documentation ( including switch/router configs, network diagrams, firewall rules etc)
? Monitor the request queue and take ownership of issues needing resolution
? Liaison with different engineering teams to gather requirements and follow Thomson Reuters best practices
? Producing network designs for production and test systems to meet new architectural requirements and to improve our time to market
? Ensure the success of projects by building effective relationships with key project stakeholders, including internal development and project management teams and communication of network design to network engineering and implementation teams.

Required Skills (Must have):

?Have knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, L2 switching, L3 routing concepts, VPNs, multicast, IP/ARP/MAC/spanning-tree issues and configurations
?Experience of troubleshooting VLAN or physical connectivity for servers or network equipment, ACLs and NAT issues
?Excellent verbal communication and written documentation. Fluent in speaking and writing English.
?Strong attention to detail
?Good team player

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills):

?Experience of working in a Data centre environment is a strong advantage.
?Innovators supported and most welcome
?Experience of networking management tools, Wireshark/TCPdump, Linux, Unix, Splat
?Experience of working with high availability configurations, VPN technologies and IGMP/PIM
?Cisco Certified Network or Design Professional qualified.
?Checkpoint Firewall certified.
?Scripting for automatic generation of configs.

Certifications Required:

Cisco CCNA
