Description
The Service Academy is looking for technical support or technology professionals with a passion for helping others to become our newest Learning Consultant based in Beijing. As a member of a global team, the Learning Consultant will develop and deliver technical learning for face-to face and virtual environments.
The role will partner with business units to identify learning solutions for staff that fit bestpractice industry standards. Previous training experience desired but not essential. Apositive attitude, willingness to learn and keep abreast of the latest industry and Thomson Reuters technology is a must.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver technical, tools and process learning solutions for face to face and virtual settings to best-practice industry standards.
Monitor, measure and report upon the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for remedial activity where necessary.
Provide learning solutions to aid in the development of knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes necessary for employees to perform their job.
Some travel may be required depending on location. Some learning sessions may have to be delivered outside normal business hours to staff working on shifts.

Qualifications
Education:University degree or equivalent.
Required Skills:
Thomson Reuters awareness
Consulting, facilitation and meeting management, knowledge management, identifying learning needs
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to convey answers to colleagues in a clear and concise manner
Excellent English written and oral communication skills
Ability to provide targeted feedback
Strong technical & problem analysis capability
Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, including senior managers
Fully PC literate, extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:
Learning Delivery (classroom & virtual) and evaluation
Experience in developing and implementing learning solutions that are focused on business needs
Ability to foster a dynamic learning environment
Project management skills and experience
Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Financial applications, processes and tools
Experience working with Thomson Reuters customers
Expertise in Thomson Reuters products and applications, particularly if paired with knowledge of clients’ workflows
Knowledge of technical infrastructures and experience with Thomson Reuters customers
Know how to use Thomson Reuters core products, and how they can be part of our clients’ workflows
Expertise in using remote delivery tools (such as Adobe Connect, WebEx)
Experience supporting or implementing Windows and UNIX (Solaris and Linux) based systems
Experience supporting and configuring Cisco and Juniper routers
Deep working knowledge in networking (LAN, WAN, switching, routing, TCP/IP)
Certification or equivalent experience in at least (but not limited to) one of the following; CCNA, JNCIS, MSCE, Solaris
