Job Overview

Shanghai Technical Support Office (STSO) provides a world-wide, plan approval and pre-contract technical service to shipbuilders, ship owners and design companies.
STSO looking to recruit two experienced engineers with a background in marine engineering who will carry out hull plan approval and pre-contract hull plan appraisal.
This job will be based in Shanghai.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan approval of ship hull plans for various ship types including bulk carrier, container, tanker, etc.
- Provide technical advice to internal and external clients.
- To discuss and present the deliverable with the internal / external client and be able to suggest solutions where appropriate.

Job Requirements
1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Naval Architecture from a recognised university or equivalent.
2. At least five(5) years' working experience in structural design and construction of ships. Previous experience in a Classification Society would be an advantage.
3. Knowledge and experience of finite element analysis techniques is desirable but not essential.
4. Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.
5. Good team-work and hardworking spirits.
