Purpose of the role:

Cope with the growing China business, increased in number of channelsForeseeable sales growth in the other vertical markets such as Rail and Transportation, Windpower, Broadcasting, Petrochemical etc which are service intensive
Handling technical support for Xtralis China
To work with IT in Australia and provide IT support to Xtralis local entity

Recruitment Specification:

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Technical education, with preference to an Engineering degree.

Experience Required for Role

Fire industry experience - Understanding of product technologies and the environments for new applications or equivalent.
“Hands on” engineer background with minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in the sales and market development of high technology industrial products to industrial markets or equivalent.

Key Knowledge Areas

Technical writing skills and statistical analysis approach.
Consultative selling skills in a technical market.
Marketing skills – understand the basic principles.
Presentation skills – must be able to train sales staff and other influencers.
Computer literacy (Windows, Office, communications - LAN/WAN/serial data).
AUTOCAD skills are highly desirable.
Understanding of Risk Management principles and their application for Fire Prevention to the high technology industry.

Personal Attributes

Ability to build good relationships and work with external business partners and/or clients.
Ability to communicate with highly technical design engineers, conceptual fire safety systems design consultants and pragmatic sales and business development personnel.
Ability to stay current with state-of-the-art technologies.
Capable of working autonomously and without close supervision.
