Position Details
This is where you get to use your talents, refine your technical and commercial skills while delivering business results and bottom line profitability within the fast pace, technically challenging 3G, LTE and 4G Mobile test market segment.
This position requires technical expertise with a proven track record in business development, support, technical sales, application engineering, or technical marketing with focus on wireless test and measurement solutions. Great teamwork and communication skills are a requirement as you work directly with JDSU's sales channel, applications engineers, R&D, product marketing, and division management.
The major objective for this position is to work with a team of regional professionals to ensure the JDSU's Wireless Division is achieving sales targets and our solutions are aligned with regional needs. Product focus in Capacity Systems is required.
You will drive field and factory alignment with key customers and opportunities while you identify and reduce sales inhibitors. You will focus on all aspects of the mobile market strategy and sales cycle including execution of the regional business development plan, focus customer selection, opportunity creation, requirements analysis, customer presentations, demonstrations/trials, competitive positioning, RFP responses, understanding customer's problems, recommending solutions to meet their needs, ensuring delivery and customer satisfaction. Provide sales funnel updates, regional reviews and own the region's strategic business development plan.
Required Qualifications To be successful in this position, candidates are expected to possess the following technical skillsets and qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics or relevant fields
- Minimum 5 years' of relevant experience in marketing, technical sales, sales development, applications engineering, technical support or business development for test and measurement products in the mobile communication industry.
- Experience in working directly with network operators as well as NEMs (Network Equipment Manufacturers) is required as well as having an established list of customer contacts and a history of successful business development for a leading wireless test and measurement company.
- Previous experience with competitor companies within Capacity Test products is highly desirable: Aeroflex, Ixia, Prisma or Artiza test and measurement.
