Job Description:

Report to Technical Manager, CSS
Under general direction, configure, implements and manages the on-going operations of numerous servers and a new enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN); designs and configures both production and redundant servers, ensuring high-availability to all applications; integrates backup / restore operations with current and future SANs, and proactively manages the efficiency, reliability, and business continuity of all infrastructure


Key Roles & Responsibilities:

> Installs and support Windows and Unix-based servers and server software in clustered, highly-available environments.
> Manage scalability, availability, and performance of numerous servers, installs, configures, and manages SAN.
> Installs patches and upgrades to server hardware, firmware, and / or software.
> Manages systems integration testing, load/stress testing and use acceptance testing processes.
> Collaborates on development of configuration management process; performs other duties as assigned.
> To prioritize resources to ensure production problems are dealt with according to severity and urgency to minimize impact.
> Provide consultancy to operations unit and Solution Delivery on technical architecture, connectivity and security which are consistent with the Bank’s standards and policies

Qualifications & Skills:

> Bachelor’s degree supplemented with five years related work experience. Operational work experience managing Windows platforms and SAN enterprise. Microsoft Certified System Engineer Certification preferred.
> Experience administering multiple storage systems, Servers with multiple locations which provide High Availability.
> Business continuity design / administration for storage systems, including snapshot and replication technologies.
> Experience administering network servers, backup operations, and systems monitoring in multiple and complex server environments.
> Sound knowledge of WINS & UNIX systems in a high-availability, multi site environment
> Sound knowledge of network switches, routers, firewalls, and network protocols
> Strong communication skills
> Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
> Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
> Able to work under pressure
> Fluent English and Mandarin in both oral and writing
> Good presentation skill
> Able to produce documentation
> Good team player
> Able to make decision and react under high pressure situation
