The position will lead all vehicle safety related regulatory and policy matters including public domain issues like New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).

The position will serve as a Safety regulation Hub for China and coordinate with the global team.

The position can coordinate with PD Planning Team and other APA stakeholders (Government Affairs, Business Strategy, etc.)

1. Provide global strategy and input into regional Safety related organizations to shape consistent regulations globally.
2. The position will lead works of VRD & GRID related to vehicle safety
3. Build relationships with standards organizations in China to support efforts (CATARC, NTSAC, MIIT, SAC, etc.).
4. Support in-region development of Vehicle Safety Global Technical Regulations (GTR).

5. Shape and communicate regulatory / public domain / corporate characteristics, technical specifications, test methods and requirements related to safety and driver assistance.
6. Position would also have responsibility for commercial vehicle safety regulations (TBD).
