JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
——Mission
-Store Operation. Build and maintain a state of the art store operation procedures so that all stores within our network can run smoothly, efficiently and ensures that these procedures provides good customer service and are followed consistently within the network.
-Retail Operation Manager. Maximize store revenue and operating results in retail. Ensure smooth and efficient product flow to retail to help company achieve stock budget. Attract, create and maintain loyal Zegna customers at every opportunity. Achieve excellence in retail operations effectiveness and efficiency. Continuously raise the standard of in store personnel, increasing sales effectiveness and the customer experience. Support to ensuring Zegna’s position as The Employer of Choice and The Retail Tenant of choice
1.Business management
——Store Operations
- To develop, implement, and provide maintenance to plans/procedures. To increase efficiency of store operations, communication, and provide support in managing day to day Zegna owned store operations. To execute the standards to all Retail Stores and to reinforce high standards of ethics and accountability.
——Result fields
- Identify operational inefficiencies and identify alternative solutions to maximize productivity
- Develop, implement and maintain Policies and Procedures and Store operations
- Develop and implement retail operations related training to store and field teams
- Provide support and assistance to the store and field teams in solving operations related issues
——Store audits
- Develop, implement and maintain store audit process and report
- Manage store audit calendar and conduct store audits
- Ensure audit findings are followed up on
——Innovation & Project Management
- Work closely with the Retail Operations Manager to identify opportunities and initiatives to maximize store operations efficiencies; productivity and profitability
- Manage operational projects of varying scope ensuring timelines are adhered to
——New Store Opening
Coordinate all different departments to ensure good collaboration to support to retail team to open a new shop within time and budget, ensure proper training to new SM and be present during the opening period of the new store to ensure that all the procedures are understood and followed as company standard.
——Retails
Lead Retail Manager to maximize store revenue and operating results in store. The Retail Manage main activities are:
- Understand the growth drivers of the business, performance of stores, consumer and competitor trends to propose growth plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Constantly analyze and track performance to present risks, opportunities and solutions.
- Work with Store Managers to ensure budgeted store Revenues and Operating Results are achieved.
2.Stock Management
- Work with Merchandising team to ensure the efficient stock movement of old season from full price shop to retail, to achieve stock budget
- Optimize retail price strategy.
- Help to Organize Sample Sale and Crazy Sale by cooperate with Logistics, HR and Financial Dept.
3.Customer Relationships and Customer Service
Maintain and create loyal Zegna customers at every opportunity.
- Identify and propose new opportunities for achieving world class customer service standards across all stores
- Ensures stores are delivering the Zegna standard of customer service. Regularly audit store customer service standards and actively seek feedback from loyal customers.
- Coach and work with Store Managers to resolve Customer Complaints and issues in accordance with Company policies whilst maintaining Customer Loyalty.
- Ensure Store Managers are fully utilizing the CRM system to maximize customer development opportunities.
- Partner with CRM Manager to identify appropriate CRM KPIs and programs per store.

4.Visual Management
- Ensure the stores comply with the company’s visual merchandising standard.
- Adjust visual standard according to the stock situation.

- People
- Continuously raise the standard of in store personnel, increasing sales effectiveness and the customer experience. Support to ensure Zegna’s position as The Employer of Choice.
- Propose store staffing plans to deliver the appropriate customer experience whilst delivering required Operating Results.
- Work HR department to identify and recruit “Zegna quality” Store Managers, Assistant Managers & Supervisors. Ensure Store Managers recruit to the store personnel to the high standards expected by Zegna.
- Manage all Store Managers to an appropriate performance and development plan (PMP).
- Propose reward and recognition for Store Personnel in accordance with HR policy and procedure.
- Identify and appropriately manage issues of performance or misconduct.
- Work with Store Managers to identify talents within stores.
- Identify store training and development needs and work with the Training team to prioritize and fulfill these needs.
- Ensure Store Managers are managing all employees to Company HR policy and Chinese legal framework. Ensure employee costs are within budget and being managed as efficiently as possible.
- Regularly audit the standards of in store sales techniques, product presentation and customer service. Use mystery shopper reports to develop improvement plans with store managers and actively coach all store personnel to improve performance.
- Maintain an open approach to communication and ensure Store Managers receive all appropriate information provided by the company

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-4 years retail experience in store management or operations.
- Thorough understanding of retail operations, including inventory control, business planning, retail systems and expense management
- Demonstrated experience in project management
- Good command of written and spoken English
