Title: Research Scientist
SBU: Corporate R&D
Reports to: Technical Manager, CR&D
Location: DRDM, Shanghai

Responsibilities:

This position is required to carry out research aimed at development of transformative photovoltaic module material technology and new products through interdisciplinary collaboration with both internal and external partners. He/She is responsible for identifying new development opportunities and effective deployment of advanced material technologies for photovoltaic product development cross Business Units.
? Identify new and step-change innovation opportunities for photovoltaic module materials
? Develop unique and proprietary material technologies for photovoltaic modules
? Closely collaborate with BU technical and business teams to develop new products and achieve commercialization
? Track the newest technology both from industries and from academia
? Lead collaboration project with leading industrial partners and local institutes/universities
? Provide program direction and coach for technicians

Qualifications:
? Ph.D in material science and engineering, chemistry or related field
? Broad and substantial background in material science and technology is required
? Research experience on thermal management, light management or optics is a plus.
? Industrial R&D experience is a plus.
? R&D experience on electronic materials is a plus.
? Very good communication skill in both Chinese and English
? Excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential, demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
? Very strong self-motivation
