TECHNICAL CONSULTANT (GREATER CHINA & NORTH ASIA)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultancy to customers in the smart card payment industry including preparation and delivery of technical proposals, trainings and presentations
• Create and manage customers' technical specifications including test and production profile definitions, generation of data and key information
• Provide on-site technical support in customers' card testing, card system integration and production approvals (UAT)
• Liaise with internal, customers, partners and suppliers on customers' technical requirements
• Provide failure analysis and resolution on customers' technical issues and field returned rejects
• Project Management including project plan development, resource planning, time management, reporting and project close-out, for the implementation of products / solutions
• Understand customers' technical needs and organization. Identify potential products / solutions in Morpho e-Documents' product portfolio and promote them to the customers
• Product customization or enhancements may be required on project basis
• Provide Corporate Product Group / R&D with feedback about trends and future requirements in the market
• Assist sales channels in responding to technical queries (including RFI/RFQ) from the customers; provide technical expertise on products / solutions, standards, banking practices and Morpho e-documents' know-how
• Establish close relationship with the local technical teams of the payment associations (CUP, MasterCard, VISA etc) in order to be aware of the latest product evolutions and certification process; as well as to obtain information of any joint projects with the banks / partners

Requirements:

Qualification/Education

• A good Diploma / Degree in Computer / Electronics Engineering
• Knowledge of Java, C / C++, Visual Basic and Assembler programming
• Knowledge of smart card protocols; EMV and Global Platform specifications would be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years experience in smartcard or related industry

• Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills in problem solving
• Excellent interpersonal skills with effective (oral & written) communication skills in English and Mandari
• Good team work, networking and customer oriented (able to front the customer)
• Strong project management skill
• Able to work independently and under pressure with a positive mindset
• Possess initiative to anticipate customer's needs, potential issues and pro-actively take appropriate actions
  

Work Environment / Dynamics

• Full time position, (work location can based in Beijing, Shanghai & Guangdong)
• Regional traveling required to provide on-site support to customers in Greater China & North Asia for any period of time
