MPU Senior Software Application Engineer Locations: ShenZhen Freescale Office

Department Description
The Microcontroller Group is the most critical and exciting part of Freescale. The organization is responsible for the definition and drive next generation 8, 16, 32bit MCUs, Wireless Connectivity and MPU Solutions. The team has responsibility for roadmaps, IP libraries, new derivatives, and SW solutions. The team is built to support a world-wide and dynamic customer base over a large base of customers serviced through OEM and distribution/ channel accounts.
We now recruit Senior Software Application Engineers for Freescale Microcontrollers Division in in ShenZhen, taking care of the rapidly grow Freescale i.MX application processor business.
Join us! You will work in software application team (APAC) in Freescale Microcontrollers Division. You will focus on i.MX serial application processor and provide software solution for global customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Technical support for global customers on i.MX Linux BSP drivers, Android/Yocto platform.
? Develop i.MX reference designs and create demo applications for Asia Market.
? Provide in-depth technical training to i.MX customers
? Create and review new product documentation such as Application notes, user guide etc.
? Be reactive to the demands of customers and sales; Feedback requirements to engineering team
? Be responsible for legacy i.MX Linux, Android and Yocto software releases
? Be responsible for system user case performance tuning and optimization
? Be responsible for the technical feasibility analysis for new applications.
? Work with the partners to create i.MX system applications
? Contribute for i.MX community and Linux/Android communities.
Requirements:
? Minimum bachelor degree in computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent;
? Minimum 3 years (for Master degree) or 6 years (for Bachelor) experiences in Linux/Android software development based on ARM platform required
? Strong programming skills on C/C++ and assembly language
? Strong experiences with Linux BSP on ARM SoC platform
? Strong capability for trouble shooting
? Good understanding on hardware design
? Experience on multimedia or Graphic development is a good plus
? Experience with GIT is desired.
? Personal requirements:
? Good written and verbal communication skills including written and oral English.
? Be proactive in obtaining engineering or management input
? Be enthusiastic and well driven
? Have strong demands to learn new knowledge
? Good team work sprit.
? Be willing to be flexible and accept new challenges
