Boston-Power, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to provide leadership and expertise in production Management of Boston Power's new plant in Jiangsu. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will manage the manufacturing line operations. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced and dynamic high tech company. You will have broad responsibility to lead production staff to execute and improve manufacturing processes, move materials to produce reusable batteries with high quality and performances, and enforce company policies and processes.


Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and motivate production staff, including line operators with 7 x 24 shift rotations.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes are properly followed with traceability. Lead line continuous improvement activities to enhance the operational results.
- Monitor and control material movement. Ensure lean manufacturing concepts are properly implemented.
- Ensure equipment and people utilization is optimized, and line is balanced.
- Ensure line operates safely, and enforce all EHS policies and rules.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, and take accountability for productivity, yield, material scrap costs.
- Participate in plant wide continuous improvement activities, including 6 sigma and program management projects.
- Develop skill matrix for production staff, and ensure that all skills are properly staffed and cross trained. Maintain a certification record for all skills, and drive for flexible work force.
- Ensure staff follows all company ethics and operational policies.
- Other tasks assigned by superiors.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above, of Science in Engineering.
- Have 8 years above direct hands on experience as Process Engineer and 2 years above in similar position.
- Have profound conscious of quality control, product management and financial cost. Be very familiar with such engineering tools like SPC, DOE, PFMEA, SOP.
- Experience and knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and 6 sigma tools are strong preferences. Be very familiar with quality system requirements & standards, Quality Assurance Control Plan, QC 7 tools, ISO9001 and ISO14000. Rich experience in product transfer and production ramp up, new product line setup and high volume production.
- High level of data analysis and problem solving skills.
- Willing to follow company guidelines and maintain confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in all business dealings.
- Good training capability, high level of interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent project management experience, strong leadership and organization skills. Fluent written and spoken in English.
- Competence in MS Office Tools and MS Project.
