Senior Automation Engineer

Requirement:
1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
2. Minimum 8 years working experience with high speed automated equipment design, control systems and vision software. Additional experience includes Project Management from start to finish (plan, organize, control, integrate, and complete engineering projects), developing and maintaining schedules and budgets for engineering projects, controlling expenses of each project, reviewing product designs, interfacing with vendors and internal resources.
3. Solid understanding of mechanical design theory, excellent knowledge of automated equipment
4. electrical and mechanical subcomponents, familiar with machining technology, material surface and heat treatment technology
5. Strong industry experience in deploying automation process/robotic work cell in SMT and Assembly of flexible printed circuit, rigid printed circuit board, rigid-flex printed circuit (FPCA, PCBA), and Testing of assembled circuits. Experience in robotics equipment design/development is required.
6. Proficient with 3D design software (inventor, SolidWorks), 2D software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
7. Good Understanding of lean, six sigma, total productive maintenance or ISO9000 quality management system. Knowledgeable in the latest factory automation technology and ability to work in a fast pace environment.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain excellent cross functional relations with various company departments as well as vendors is essential.
9. Effective bilingual in English and Chinese is highly desired but not mandatory

Job duty:
1. Design of and analysis of high speed custom equipment preferably in Flexible Printed Circuit Board and SMT industry, individually and as part of design team, including leading small 2-5 man teams.
2. Development of innovative new high speed/high precision P&P, assembly, testing and inspection equipment as well as modification of existing equipment.
3. Pproject management and meeting project objectives including budget, schedule, and quality. Responsibilities include preparation of project justification, capital budget Requests, planning, scheduling, vendor evaluation/selection and management, evaluating and approving vendor design, commissioning, start up, training and after installation support.
4. Detailed design activities include conceptual design, feasibility studies, preparation of equipment specification (ES), FMEA/FMEDA, drawing packages, equipment layout, equipment datasheets, fabrication specifications, procurement specifications, engineering studies, test plans, and detailed equipment sizing & qualification calculations.
5. Design and conduct of DOEs, Validation and Qualification protocols (FAT, SAT)
6. Development of detailed specification, engineering documents, SOP and operating standards. Develop corporate CAM/CIM standards and documentation.
7. Perform reliability testing and root cause and failure analysis of complex problems and systems using applicable statistical methods.
8. May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
