Responsibilities:

1. Define the company“best practice” cost reference for the following Loudspeaker component types:
o Cones
o Surrounds
o Spiders
o Voice coils
o Gaskets & Seals
2. Analyze cost breakdowns from supplier quotes and understand all cost influent factors. Develop a close technical relationship with suppliers to identify best cost solutions.
3. Develop and maintain cost models at component level that will allow Target Costing calculation for the above mentioned component types.
4. Gather and maintain up-to-date known data for all key influent parameters such as raw material cost, hourly rates or efficiency.
5. Work with BUI to set cost target during the bidding phase and ensure all cost accounted for in the Business cases comply with the company best practices.
6. Support the procurement team during negotiation events with target costing.
7. Interact with internal functions: design engineering, procurement, VAVE, and BUI.
8. Train the global design engineering teams on design to cost, based on cost models and best practice data.
9. Identify existing components that do not comply with the best practices and drive corrective actions with procurement and/or design engineering.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably engineering
2. Technical knowledge in the above mentioned component manufacturing processes.
3. 5+ years related experience in both process engineering and costing functions or as product manager / operations manager at a high-volume component manufacturer.
