Our client is a leading telecom US company. To cope with the fast growing steps, on behalf of our client, Collars Consultants is looking for qualified candidates with high motivation to join the winning team:
Position: Material Manager
Location: Changzhou
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is created to gather all functions related to Materials Management; material planning, procurement, sourcing.
- Objective of this position is to reduce lead time, increase on time delivery and flexibility when at the same time reduction supply chain costs.
- Improve co-ordination between market (Customer Service and Demand planning) and Supply manufacturing units and supplier base)
- Manage, develop and guidance of personal so enthusiasm and strong willingness exists in the group to reach agreed KPI's and targets.
- Achieve Excellence for the Group via continuous improvements;
- Grow competencies & capacities for the three technologies;
- Strive for continuous cost reductions;
- Carry the flag of "Quality First";
- Ensure continuously improved customer service and satisfaction;
- Achieve a continuously increased efficiency through the continuous development of standardized and simplified work procedures, using the company ERP system and other related sub systems;
- Ensure transparency of demand data in the supply chain;
- Ensure compliance with agreed customer requirements on response time, liability, and flexibility and lead times;
- Ensure supplier base and MAU compliance with decided procedures and processes;
- Authorization limits according to the "delegation of authority policy";
- Lead Materials Management team according to all written procedures as outlined in the Global Management System and local instructions.
- Make sure processes and local instructions/documents are established, known and followed and provide feedback for improvements;
- Organize Materials Management team to balance workload to ensure timely treatment of customer requests;
- Promote a professional internal customer service attitude within the team, foster a CUSTOMER FOCUS mentality;
- Fulfill and secure customer demand in terms of sales orders and forecast, if we can't meet customer requirement take actions to improve, report timely and escalate if no solution found;
- Provide feedback to customer service & demand estimation regarding our capability to meet their demands including flexibility if required and agreed;
- Buy material for production and trading business and provide suppliers with a long term demand (forecast). Follow up supplier's delivery capabilities to meet our demand;
- Plan production orders and provide manufacturing units a consolidate capacity forecast and request. Follow up their capability to meet our demand;
- Work to continuously improve lead times from our supplier and manufacturing base;
- Manage NPI's/TPI's/Phase outs, including AG transfer process related to supply chain activities;
- Initiate improvements and standardization and provide a high level of data accuracy in existing ERP system and subsystems related to the area of responsibility;
- Ensure all relevant customer information; contacts, projects etc. are communicated effectively through the organization and supply chain;
- Regularly follow up and report status of these "agreements" and initiate actions if we deviate;
- Manage warehouses with commitment to FIFO principle and inventory accuracy in order to meet quality requirements and provide ERP system with accurate information;
- Organize product delivery to customer (locally on internationally) on time and with the requirement to maintain product integrity, on time delivery at competitive price;
- Ensure safe operation in warehouse with proper training of people and maintenance of equipment;
- Work closely and with good communication with SCM teams, Manufacturing unit(s) and Sourcing to satisfy our customers and improve our supply base performance;
- Monitor and analyze KPI's (TBD) and take actions to improve where required;
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of all data presents to management in reports. (i.e. monthly report);
- Manage continual professional development and training for the team. Performance measurement and guidance of people;
- Comply with all company policies relating to: Health and Safety, Employment Law; Environment (14001); Quality (9001) GMS; Discipline/Absenteeism, Selection & Recruitment.
JOB RESPONDIBILITY
- University degree;
- Materials Management knowledge: Minimum of 15 years experience of planning covering areas as material planning, production planing, inventory mgmt, procurement and master planning;
- English level: good English both in oral, reading and writing and good presentation skill in English;
- Solid experience of sourcing and SCM;
- Solid experience of ERP system(s) and the MRP function covering planing and mtrl related functions;
- Good Experience of Microsoft Office program and Excel in particular;
- Very good coordination, communication skills and organized;
- Over 15 yrs working experience in material, with 7-8 yrs material management ,ability to motivate team and drive them to success.
- Successful candidates will be offered long-term development programs and career development plans, which allow them to grow into more senior positions.
