Position Title: GTT_ engineering front office (34667BR)
Position description:
In this position, you will support PD Satellite Office activities from Volvo in the DND factory, part of Truck JVs China. You will support the assembly of the physical builds in the Assembly plant during industrialization phase of P9103 and futures projects but also support in development phase project team.
In this position, you will be located in the Volvo Satellite Office in DND factory (Hangzhou - China) and will report to the Front Office Manager and Chief Project Manager of Special vehicle department in GTT Hangzhou (China).
Responsibilities:
Prior to start of vehicle assembly::
Support manufacturing by enabling PD network to prepare assembly of all projects builds with ad hoc documentation and quality from first IN-builds up to SP-start.
During vehicle assembly:
1. Agree with manufacturing on the problem and its description (Protus "Hand Shake')
2. Ensure that Protus report is issued by GTO with all required information
3. Assign Protus handler and solving responsible
4. Support required investigation phase on assembly line (root cause analysis)
5. Secure quick and short term solution and run associated deviations
6. Follow PD long-term resolution of all Assembly-Protus coming from the plant
7. Pilot the related KPIs (A-Protus status and lead-time, number of deviations implemented)
Overall:
1. Participate to product/processes activities and ensure continuous improvements
2. Participate in the plant meetings (Industrialization launch group and Product Audit)
3. Main communication point of contact between Manufacturing & PD to pull PD actions
4. Support activities during project phase (vehicle architecture role)
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
1. Master degree in Automotive Engineering
2. 5 years of experience in Product Development / Project Management
3. Good technical background in Truck/Automotive products and development
Skills:
1. Effective leadership with negotiation skills. Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
2. Ability to build strong network. Good presentation and communication skills
3. Result-oriented and ability to take initiatives. Positive attitude, open-minded
4. Pragmatic with sense of urgency
5. Efficient of 3D CAD software preferably CATIA V5, Pro E and Volvo processes and tools (KOLA, Protus, etc.) is a plus
6. Chinese and English language skills compulsory
