职位描述
1. Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for the availability and operational delivery of Edwards IT systems and services at Edwards site facilities in China to the agreed levels of service, taking account of the changing, or variable, demands of the business and seeking continuously and proactively to improve services in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
Effective and efficient management of the operation, implementation and support of IT LAN/WAN, server, telephony and telecommunications equipment.
The position requires the ownership and responsibility for the ongoing local China support and maintenance of existing cross platform applications and systems within the responsibility of the global Edwards IM Department.
2. Dimensions:
a) Money Measures - no direct budget responsibilities.
b) Business processes -
Responsibility for availability and user support within China for the following architectures:
? Desk/laptop hardware deployment, maintenance and applications.
? LAN cabling.
? Network infrastructure (switches, Wi-Fi, printers etc).
? Manufacturing systems and peripherals support.
? File and print servers.
? Intranet / internet access and usage.
? WAN data communications.
c) People - no direct reports.
3. Maintains consistent interfaces with:
? End users at China sites.
? Edwards IM Staff.
? Edwards Global IM Service Desk.
? Local Business Management.
? External service providers.
? Hardware and Software vendors.
4. Specialized knowledge, expertise and/or abilities consistently required:
? MCSE (or working towards) with 2+ years of experience in a multi site Windows server and Windows desktop environment.
? Microsoft Active Directory, Office, Access and SQL.
? Personal Computer hardware and software - communications protocols, problem diagnostics and repair, image builds, deployment.
? Cisco networking (Lans and Wi-Fi) - knowledge of TCP/IP and networking troubleshooting.
? LAN cabling and patch management.
? Remote connectivity administration and support.
? Desktop client security - anti-virus and OS patch management.
? ERP system peripheral hardware support (specialist printers and scanners).
? Windows platform server architecture installation, configuration and administration.
? VOIP telephony - MS Communicator and phone systems.
? Excellent communication skills - written and verbal (English).
5. Principal Accountabilities:
Accountable for day to day administration of the Edwards file servers, network access (LAN/WAN) and LAN equipment located in the Edwards China facilities.
Ensure application systems are available for use according to the conditions of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ensure IT infrastructure is used in the most efficient manner through planning and controlling service solution capacity to satisfy user demand within performance levels defined in SLAs.
Enforce the Edwards IM Policy.
Ensure that defined operational processes are adhered to and reporting evidence is maintained to support annual audit compliance as necessary.
6. Primary responsibilities:
? Responsible for end user assistance for hardware, software, operating system, and other personal computer related support requests.
? Assignments may be complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
? Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve PC related failures and initiate corrective action as necessary.
? Responding to and solving complex technical problems escalated from the global IM ServiceDesk.
? Participate in the development, implementation, adherence and enforcement of corporate PC hardware and Software standards and associated PC policy.
? Develop and maintain Edwards's standard images for approved systems, working with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain a library of authorized images and related implementation documentation.
? Develop and maintain Edwards's environment documentation and solutions/knowledge database.
? Coordinate third party support as required.
? Provide cross platform infrastructure support for core systems: LAN / WAN infrastructure, Windows servers, ERP system peripherals (specialist printers, scanners etc).
? Perform routine server backup tape handling and management duties.
? Travel to other Edwards offices both locally and overseas, often at short notice to provide technical support, installation services or general proactive maintenance/research tasks as required.
? Participate in IT projects as required.
? May at times be expected to work beyond or outside normal hours of duty to recover systems from major failure or to perform upgrades, often at short notice.
