Role Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:

As a primary logistics project specialist in Asia, this person will be responsible for coordinating overall logistics activities for projects in various infrastructure segments in GE. It requires ability to manage projects in multiple remote locations. The role is also the primary interface point for Logistics Project Management, Supply Chain and Sourcing for all logistics activities related to a specific project.

• Interface with the business teams for developing and managing logistics plans for large power generation and water plants.
• Create preliminary project logistics plans for global project equipment to the logistics mode experts and routing centers.
• Familiar with existing ITO /OTR logistics processes within GPO supporting delivery of customer equipment to site including route surveys, sourcing strategies and quotation creation.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams to ensure planning and execution of logistics that supports on-time delivery to the customer.
• Monitor and ensure compliance of transport mode specialists with customer requirements and deliverables requirements.
• Familiar with custom operations and related commercial documentation creation. Participate in Import/Export support to various segments as needed
• Generate control of all documentation to ensure OTD, Rev Req, and Cash Collection.
• Participate in Warehouse Management as needed

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Experience in heavy-duty equipment handling, inventory and warehouse management.
• 3-5 years in International Trade, Customs Compliance operations in Asia, logistics planning and operations.
• Basic understanding of INCO terms.
• Experience with Commercial Invoices for Im/Export purposes.
• Demonstrate methodologies for planning and moving over dimensional cargo by land, air, sea.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken and can effectively communicate with local organization & customers as well as the global team.
• Experience working in or with a multi-functional organization.
• Strong accountability and integrity traits.
