Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
*Be responsible for Customs & trade compliance processes according to GE Enterprise Standard include but not limited to HS code classification processes, free trade agreement related processes, duty relief programs, agent management and other customs processes in the area of China, Hong Kong. Taiwan and Mongolia. *Develop and manage customs-related process improvement projects, applying innovation and continuous improvement methodologies to define efficient, compliant and cost-effective solutions *Serve as primary interface with global Customs functional groups in the coordination of customs processes and systems. *Assist China Customs leader and other Customs CoE leaders to identify business data/information based on regionally defined requirements *Lead CoE initiations for establishing compliant yet simple operations model for special program (such as bonded warehouse etc.) , projects while taking advantage of duty-savings opportunities *Take other projects assigned by line manager.

Qualifications/Requirements
*Experience in handling multiple, often complex projects simultaneously*IT knowledge and practical experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and business ERPs (Oracle, SAP) *Good skills in process analysis, data analysis problem solving.*Aptitude to deal positively when working under pressure*Minimum 8 years Customs, and/or international trade business experience
