职位描述
This role is to be a Consultant for us in Beijing. The role is not just a China role, but a global one. The right person needs to support us across multiple markets and multiple disciplines.
The Beijing office has two teams now
- Business Development – connecting with marketers to build our pipeline as well as marketing the R3 brand
- Project Management –our Consulting Work across ‘all six R’s’.
- Within the project management team are four “Pods” of 3-4 people each , managing different individual projects
- This person would run one of these “pods” with 2-3 people reporting to them
This person would report to a Senior Consultant, who runs Project Management. And that person reports to Greg and Shu Fen, the founders and owners of R3
JOB SCOPE
Lead, execute and supervise selected consulting work from the company in Beijing. This means a client interface, as well as internal management and direction.
This could include some regular projects such as (just as examples only)
o Samsung Global Client Agency Performance Evaluation – a twice annual evaluation using R3’s online tool , covering more than 200 individual Samsung agency relationships in 60 countries
o JNJ Regional Fee Negotiations and Benchmarking. Helping JNJ and their 127 individual agencies in 15 countries agree on financial terms every year
o China En-Spire Research – a consumer research project covering 1,500 consumers every three months. Coca-Cola China has subscribed to this research since 2006
In addition, around half the time will be on Adhoc projects such as Agency Pitch Management, Media Auditing and increasingly more marketing measurement projects.
Build and train a team of senior researchers and researchers in your Pod to improve and grow and expand. All our team are local Chinese with a mixture of experience , but a great energy to grow and learn
Support our expansion into ROI measurement and manage the analytical and financial skills to help us deliver work.

Expected time split would be 50% on regular / recurring R3 projects as above and 50% on Adhc projects
EXPANSION
We continue to reward our best people and expand our business. For the right candidate, they could expect to dramatically grow their team and their skillset. After five years, such a senior person should also get the potential for more profit sharing and equity in the firm.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have experience on the client side or agency side of marketing, preferably both , and around 4-6 years of working experience. They cannot be new to China, they must know this market, people and working approach. It’s crucial the candidate has a regional / global mindset and is effectively bilingual. Some education or work experience outside of China will be an asset.
We’re quite open on past experience in Advertising, PR, Research or Media Agencies. The ability to manage and grow clients will be crucial
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
Based in Beijing and no more than seven travel days a month travel. A lot of work can be done remotely
COMPENSATION / OTHER BENEFITS
We are flexible on this entirely based on the working experience and capability of the candidate. It would range from RM10,000 to RMB18,000.
R3 conducts detailed six monthly 360 degrees evaluations and pays generous bonuses with both the company and individual has performed well.
Every week , we have a Sharing Session across different teams in China.
Every month, our whole China team does something fun together for an evening.
Every year, our whole team does something fun together for three days .
