Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The National Instruments Shanghai Solutions Engineering Team has an immediate opening for Sustaining Program Manager/Technical Lead. In this role you will work with a wide and diverse set of engineering resources, services resources, and vendors located globally to manage the sustaining engineering activities in Asia region. This position requires the use of both project management and technical skills to support the sustaining activities for NI’s key customers in ensuring operation excellence.

Core Job Responsibilities:
1.Plan, execute, and oversee successful sustaining activities of custom system projects based on NI platforms
2.Oversee project sustaining quality and deliverables, coordinate with global resources, vendors and partners.
3.Proactive in preventive measures, identify and execute plan in avoiding potential risks.
4.Accurately identify and perform technical analysis, lead and coordinate with global team to resolve issues timely
5.Communicate and present issues resolution proposals /recommendations to customers.
6.Traveling as needed (possibly up to 50%) domestically and abroad in support of sustaining activities.

Position Requirements:
1.BS degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
2.7+ years’ experience with sustaining activities and/or system integration projects in the test and measurement industry
3.First hand experience in supporting NI products preferred
4.Strong communication and negotiation abilities
5.Strong understanding of business concepts and impact
6.Capable to work within constraints to achieve targets.
7.Demonstrated ability to:
-Select sustaining project management approaches that will lead to project success o Persistently drive tasks and lead programs to successful completion
-Work effectively in global environment
-Strong understanding in electrical engineering, electronics & computer architectures, with strong technical problem solving skills.
-Strong understanding of high--﹍evel programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#)
-Statistical analysis of data (Cp, Cpk, GR&R, six--﹕igma)
8.Strong work ethic, independent and drive to succeed.
9.Assertive and confident in dealing with unforeseen situations..
10.50% travel required
