Background :



First of all, it's important to analyze the situation and what we expect to be done by the SQE

Today, most of the electronic components (Integrated circuits, capacitors, etc...) are produced by big companies (Motorola, Sharp, Samsung,...) and distributed in Europe via a specific network. Watts, at least for the time being, will not try to buy these items directly from Asia.



What we would like to purchase directly are more accessories (such as small DC motors, mechanical clocks, complete thermostats....) and specific items developed according our drawings ( such as Printed circuits boards, cables, metal pieces, LCD displays...). In a second phase ,it could be interesting to investigate to purchase directly tools such as plastic tools.



That's the reason why we don't need a pure electronic engineer, but somebody with a larger technical view, who can also support the rest of Europe when available. Somebody who knows manufacturing would be preferred to an R&D guy.




Requirements:


1. Bachelor in business or engineering

2. Minimum 3 years' experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred (or manufacturing ...)

3. Mechanical skills are a must

4. Good skill in quality system maintenance

5. Good communication skills

6. Can work independently and proactively

7. Good ISO/TS quality system knowledge




Key job duties/ Responsibilities:


In close collaboration with the operations and quality department from WATTS electronics, his / her mission will be:

1. To ensure a constant quality and performance from our Chinese suppliers

2. Interface with engineering and operations to ensure transfer to production of new items

3. Conduct audits, including closing out findings, creating audits findings reports and determine proper and corrective actions with our suppliers

4. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions

5. Participate to the choice of new suppliers.

6. Reviews, tracks and communicates information regarding process variation at our supplier and quality control samples as defined with our quality insurance procedures.

7. Keep Watts electronics informed of studies in process and progress thereof, committee agenda items, to discuss problems and completion of audits procedures.




Conclusion:


1. We need somebody with a wide technical view, well organized, with a good skill in quality system.

2. The goal would be to educate him / her during one week in our head office in ROSIERES
