Job Discipline:

• Maintain and monitor corporate SHMS in BJCCS.
• ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 maintenance and keep systems effective running.
• Achieve Corning regulatory & compliance H&S requirements, local and state laws & regulations and policies.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and corporate standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Establish and achieve BJCCS EH&S plan and objectives in order to improve EHS management system.
2. Be responsible for organizing diversified EH&S promotion activities (such as safety month, on-job training, EH&S manual...) to ensure EH&S system compliance.
3. Make EH&S training plan, and coordinate with HR to implement the plan. Deliver EH&S training to internal staffs.
4. Set up, execute and update EH&S policies to ensure all employees, visitors or subcontractors complying with local and state laws & regulations and policies.
5. Support and coach other departments on implementation of programs to assure compliance with Corning headquarters regulations, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standards and other requirements.
6. To develop the Risk/impact analysis for each working position, immediate safety improvement, develop and supervise safety procedure for each working position, like Fire fighting, training, emergency actions; Environment management (monitoring of solid, liquid and gas wastes and their compliance with laws and regulations);Implement Loss and prevention program.
7. Organize and coordinate internal QEH&S coordinators team, weekly meeting and monthly EH&S meeting.
8. Promoting the relevant people to execute daily EH&S inspections, and internal audit plan and implement, Tracking or taking the corrective action& preventive actions of EH&S NC finding etc.
9. Support external audit on preparation and coordination.
10. Updated the EH&S workplace information, Make sure that all staff receives the EH&S information, communicate with all employees and the safety representative.
11. Timely report safety kaizen, safety performance, near-miss cases, unsafe conditions and acts and participate in accident, injury & illness prevention activities to corporate and plant. Responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices.
12. Responsible for verification for manufacturing engineering process and layout from EH&S perspective. Provide technical guidance, compliance support, and regulatory interpretation.
13. Support and implement Performance Excellence promotion programs.
14. Keep contact with third part auditor, training organization, consulting company, standard bureau/organization,and HQ EH&S team, get the most up-to-date regulations, and share such information within company.
15. Implement other projects/programs assigned by Manager.
