Job Summary
The Finance Project Organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based in Singapore to support the re-engineering of our worldwide Finance systems. This role focuses on China region. Qualified Candidate will have experience/background in a MNC Finance Shared Services Center (SSC) environment and will be responsible for managing cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to define, build and roll-out innovative technology and business process solutions that increase efficiencies, reduce cost, improve customer satisfaction, and drive consistent global processes
Description
As Senior Project Manager to work with cross-functional (domestic and international) business leads to define and manage business process and technology roadmaps in support of long-term shared services strategies. Leverage industry trends, best practices, and leading-edge technology and process improvement ideas to challenge the status quo. Manage change. Implement new ideas effectively within our culture. Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership and a customer-focused approach. Provide and/or obtain appropriate functional subject matter expertise. Anticipate customers’ needs. Interface with partners within and outside of our company and project portfolio management. He/she require to gather and synthesize detailed, global business requirements and design specification. This will cover - Assess current and future business processes (As-Is and Future State). Apply analytical skills to rationalize change. Lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements. Assist business teams in the development of the funding request with qualitative information. Due to the projects' scale, he/she need to manage complex projects to major milestones. Develop project justification proposals, business cases and return on investment estimates, prepare executive briefings and project presentations (ability to ‘tell the story’), obtain executive approval and funding by conducting weekly project meetings to communicate project status, regular Executive/Stakeholder reviews. Able to provide customers and stakeholders with alternatives when key problems surface on the project (plan B). Role requires close partnership and communication with Technical team to ensure customer and stakeholder expectations are understood, met, and managed. This will include managing project risk throughout the project life-cycle. Role also require he/she to develop and maintain key project governance documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success. This will cover the management of project activities, planning and scheduling, identifying and manages to major project milestones, develops and maintains issues logs to ensure accountability to the resolution of key issues. He/she must be able to prioritizes and delegates key project tasks to team members. Facilitate project-related training, testing, roll-out, knowledge transfer, and post-mortem work. Measure and track results and follow and execute against the Project LifeCycle roadmap
Key Qualifications
? Minimum 12-15 years of experience in MNC High Tech or Consumer Business industry and/or consulting firms with extensive exposure to finance systems.
? Proven track record of leading strategic projects combined with the ability to execute tactical project-level activities and tasks.
? Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including experience in managing medium (6-8 month) to large (8-12 month) projects.
? Proven knowledge of financial systems and infrastructure, direct operational or technical experience preferred.
? Background in SAP FI and SD modules.
? Knowledge of system development lifecycle.
? Proficient in business process flow diagramming.
? Proven experience as a change agent having effectively implemented change in large cross functional organization.
? Knowledge of industry best practices, third-party providers, and technologies.
? Experience working on and leading worldwide project teams located in different parts of the globe, being sensitive to local customs and practices.
? Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills along with a strong attention to detail.
? Ability to work with ambiguity with minimal supervision.
? Self-motivated, driven, and proven professional who is comfortable working in a global, matrix, fast-paced environment.
? Demonstrated and recognized leader.
? Fluency in English and Mandarin counterparts in respective countries.
Education
? Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field. Masters Degree/MBA preferred.
Additional Requirements
Candidate will be required to design and develop solutions for complex business problems and apply project management methodologies to support the delivery. Solutions will range from small to large-scale process and system improvements. Position will require oversight of all aspects of project information including timelines, resource allocation, scope and definition. This position will also be required to provide oversight of global and regional projects. Successful candidate will have exceptional project management skills, a strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Some degree of international travel will be required
